Bantamweight title fight added to ROAD FC 52

ROAD FC last held a bantamweight title bout in April 2017.

ROAD FC will crown a new bantamweight champion when it heads to the Jangchung Arena on 23 February for ROAD FC 52.

Stepping up for the title is former bantamweight title contender Kim Min-Woo (8-2), who will face Moon Jea-Hoon (11-12) for a third time. Both men have a win over each other stretching back years. Moon first defeated Kim at ROAD FC 20 in 2014, but went on to drop a unanimous decision at ROAD FC 29.

The ROAD FC bantamweight division has not had a champion since December 2017 when former champ Kim Soo-Chul made a surprise announcement and retired from the sport.

Kim won the belt at ROAD FC 38 for the belt by defeating Kim Min-Woo via unanimous decision.

As previously announced, the final match of the ROAD FC $1 Million Tournament will headline ROAD FC 52, with Shamil Zavurov to face Mansour Barnaoui for the $1 million in prize money and a shot at reigning lightweight champion Kwon A-Sol. A lightweight bout between Bruno Miranda and Hong Young-Ki (5-4) will also feature on the lineup.
