Former ROAD FC lightweight champion Kwon A-Sol makes his return some six months after losing his title to Mansour Barnaoui in the ROAD FC $1 Million Lightweight Tournament.

Kwon (21-11) is set to take on hard hitting Shamil Zavurov (35-6-1) in the main event of ROAD FC 56, which goes down later today at the Jinnam Gymnasium in Yeosu, South Korea.

Both men have one thing in common, they both lost to Mansour Barnaoui during the promotion’s Lightweight GP.

Kwon was choked out in the opening round of the tournament finals, while Zavurov lost to a spectacular flying knee in the tournament semi final. A win at ROAD FC might set them back on a course to the championship belt.

Also set for ROAD FC 56 is a bantamweight championship bout between Kim Min-Woo (9-2) who defend his crown for the fight time against Jang Ik-Hwan (8-2).

All fighters on the main card made weight, including top prospect Hwang In-Su, who returns from his first defeat at Road FC 54 to face Kim Eun-Soo.
