The UFC TUF 20 Finale takes place on December 12, 2014 in Las Vegas and airs live on Fox Sports 1. Newly signed Ham Seo-Hee will make her UFC debut against Joanne Calderwood.
Ham is coming off a fresh defense of her DEEP Jewels title on November 3rd in Japan. She is riding a six-fight win streak on top of her 15-5 professional record. Ham is the first Korean female to enter the UFC, and she does so coming from a stellar team, Busan Team MAD, which also includes UFC fighters Kim Dong-Hyun, Kang Kyung-Ho, and ROAD FC Flyweight Champion Jo Nam-Jin.
Calderwood is a stand out striker based in Muay Thai who was a quarterfinalist on the TUF 20 show. She was submitted by Rose Namajunas, a finalist, and the only Team Melendez to make it past the opening round. Calderwood is undefeated in her professional career of 8-0.
Ham will be fighting up in weight, and Calderwood will enjoy a 4-inch height advantage which goes along with a her reach as well. Ham’s wrestling will definitely be put to the test in her UFC debut.
The event will be headlined by the finals of the TUF 20 tournament, which will crown the UFC’s inaugural strawweight champion.
