PFL has announced the final additions to its 2019 schedule.
Among the new wave of announcements is Japanese heavyweight Satoshi Ishii, China’s Bao Yincang and ROAD FC Lightweight Tournament participant Ronys Torres.
“We have assembled the best available talent from around the world in what proved to be a challenging, highly competitive selection process,” PFL President Ray Sefo said in a statement.
Ishii’s solid run
Satoshi Ishii(21-8-1) will be coming to PFL riding a five-fight win streak since just October last year. In 2019 alone the 2008 Olympic gold medalist defended his Serbian Battle Championship heavyweight title, then claimed the Heat heavyweight title from Cally Gibrainn de Oliveira in early March.
Last month Ishii locked in his first win with KSW, edging out Fernando Rodrigues Jr. via split decision at KSW 47 in Poland.
ROAD FC alumni
As one of the top young fighters to come out of China’s Xian Sports Institute Bao Yincang (13-5) has been a staple of ROAD FC and Chinese Kung Fu for the past several years.
Bao rose to prominence by winning the China trials of ROAD FC’s $1 Million Lightweight Tournament.
Another veteran of ROAD’s Lightweight Tournament Ronys Torres (37-6) will be looking to make his mark with PFL.
In the ROAD FC Lightweight Tournament he submitted Ermek Tlauov, Russia trials winner Elnur Agaev and Tom Santos all within the first round to make it to the semifinals. At ROAD FC 46 he was ousted by Shamil Zavurov.
