DEEP JEWELS 16 took place on 20th May 2017 at FULL HOUSE of Shinjyuku FACE.

Do you know King Reina?

She arrived on the Japanese MMA scene two years before at DEEP JEWELS 10 when she was just 18. She won by arm-bar with her Judo, Sambo and Jiu-Jitsu (Purple-belt) skills. After that she continued to win over Japanese fighter Elly and former UFC fighter Shayna Baszler. And Finally King Reina fought and won over huge opponent Jazzy Gabert at RIZIN Yokohama and it was her first major debut.

On every fight King Reina didn’t hesitate to throw punches and kicks at all and not being hesitancy on every fight is one of her attractiveness. On this fight she did the same though the opponent Kristin Handel who is the Europe Karate champ and much taller than she. KING Reina threw punches and kicks, got take down and pound her out at 1 round.

She in awesome and worth to watch her fight. Must watch.

SAMARI and Tomo Maesawa were rival. They have same Judo backbone and on the same last year they leave their hometown and came to Tokyo to train MMA much harder. (at different gym)

On the last JEWELS event Maesawa won over skilled-Tomimatsu by choke-sleeper and she could show her advance. SARAMI also subbed Korean Ye Jin Jung with choke-sleeper. So it was difficult to say which is stronger before this fight.

On the fight SARAMI threw strong punches and got takedowns with her tempered trunk many times. And finally SARAMI pound her out at the end of 2nd round. Good fight and I wanna watch the revenge fight from Maesawa. Their rival story.

After her winning SARAMI appealed the she wanna challenge championship fight. VS Mina Kurobe.

The first fight saw the 12-year-old fighter from Hakushin-kai Momo take on 24-year-old fighter Momoko Yamazaki.

Hakushin-kai is famous for the gym DEEP JEWELS champion and INVICTA fighter Mizuki and her younger brother Naoki Inoue belong to. During the fight Momo got takedowns, secured an early rear-naked choke and her opponent Yamazaki was stunned.

12-year-old Momo started Karate from three years of age and has fought over 100 fights with kick boxing, karate, Jiu-Jitsu and MMA. Awesome.
