Pancrase 268 featured a pairing of Japan’s fighters versus Brazilian opponents, topped off with Masakatsu Ueda’s return against Luis Nogueira.
Ueda used an excellent barrage of takedowns and striking to fluster the Brazilian, and earned the win from his control of all three rounds.
Shian almost went the distance with Rildeci Lima Dias but succumbed to a RNC at the end of the third round.
Givago Francisco dropped Ikkei Nagamura and finished him on the ground to win by TKO in the middle of the first round.
Daichi Kitakata’s match with Raymison Bruno didn’t even last a full minute, and Bruno struck him with a low blow to the groin and Kitata had to be stretchered out.
Setting aside weight limits, Flyweight King Mitsuhisa Sunabe took on lightweight warhorse Takafumi Itoh. In a brilliant fight, Sunabe need up submitting Itoh early in the third with a rear naked choke. Following the fight, Sunabe said,
“Of course to win and to earn money are important, but the X mark of Pancrase is a Roman symbol. I am in pursuit of the Roman way!”
