Pancrase 294: Tom Santos stuns Yusaku Inoue

Yusuke Ogikubo takes the decision win at Pancrase 294.

PANCRASE 294 took place on 11 March at the full house of Studio Coast. The date of 11 March is an important one for Japan. It was seven years ago that the huge earthquake and tsunami struck to Japan.

No. 2 ranked lightweight fighter Yusaku Inoue is one of a candidate to challenge the championship and he took Tom Santos the BEST 8 fighter of ROAD FC 1-Million-Tournament. It was a good opportunity for Inoue to show his strength as a world class for the next step. But Santos’s strong punches crushed Inoue at 2nd round. After winning Santos said that “I came here to be a champion and I wanna challenge the belt.”

Karate-based fighter Yoshinori Horie fought at PANCRASE from October 2016 and has 6 wins in a row. Older Tamura has an experience to fight at UFC and ROAD FC. Horie’s nickname is Supernova and here is Youtube movie features Horie. (  He wanted to show his strength with tough and skilled fighter Tamura. But the fight was cruel… Tamura beat Horie with many punches.

Handsome and skinny fighter Kenta Takizawa was entering into the Decagon with the music of PANCRASE-Theme and the opponent was Hulk Oshiro who experienced to fight at “ROAD TO UFC JAPAN” in 2015. Takizawa pounded-out to Oshiro and he said that “I was disappointed with my rank falling from #5 to #9 with my last loss. But I wanna have a fight with a strong opponent and become a champion this year!”
