Park JoonYong (World Top Gym) vs Kim JaeYoung (Nova MMA)
Ooh we have a mean staredown. But they touch gloves. Park has a significant height advantage. He shoots but Kim stuffs it, clinches and gets the trip down. Park turtles and Kim keeps him that way in the corner until Park can scramble to standing. Kim hits two more single legs and then Park tries for a foot lock. Kim eventually slips out and takes the back again. Park powers up and out, reversing Kim against the ropes at the bell.
Round two. The big men hit the canvas again, and predictably Kim is in top position. As he punches, Park tries to grab a kimura. Power to standing. Kim isn’t able to finish Park because he’s got good ground defense, but his takedown defense is absent. They stand and trade to the delight of the crowd, but Kim nails the single leg again, and the cycle of back take to standing repeats to the bell.
Kim JaeYoung defeats Park JoonYong by Unanimous Decision
Kim EunSoo (Nova MMA) vs Jo Hoon/Cho Hun (KTT)
Stream dies. Restart and Kim has Jo on his back. Jo is hanging on for dear life as Kim looks for openings to drop bombs. Kim stands out and Jo gets up and rushes him to reverse the top position. Kim’s aiming for a kimura from the bottom as the ref resets it in the middle. He lets go and starts swinging from the bottom at the end of the round.
Kim is looking to assault with striking and Jo closes for a clinch every time. His takedown attempt puts Kim on top again. Kim pounds and Jo gives up his back, Kim predictably works him over and tries to sink a choke, but Jo’s grip on his arms is strong. Kim gives up the mount and they stand until Kim gets a takedown and pounds until the ref jumps in.
Kim EunSoo defeats Jo Hoon by TKO, rd 2
Moon KiBeom (Team MAD) vs Kang BeomChan (KTT)
We have UFC fighters facing off as corners for this one. Dong HyunKim is in Moon’s corner and Lim HyunGyu is in Kang’s. They test each other, Moon gets a single, then Kang hits a throw, both stand out of it. Kang with double kicks and a punch that lands, Moon comes back with a combo. Moon fakes a flying knee and lands punches, he’s more of the aggressor in the exchanges. Very nice back and forth round.
Round two. Moon definitely the aggressor. A takedown attempt fails and he’s able to capitalize and take the back briefly. Both guys with good shoots and good defense. Moon now mixing up punch and kick combos. Ref separates them again – don’t know why. Kang now starts to land so Moon clinches to save himself. This is a game of tag – each guy taking turns on the approach. Moon DROPS Kang with a right – he’s flat on the canvas – but he pops up, grabs for a single leg and stands! Walking Dead!
Moon KiBeom defeats Kang BeomChan by Unanimous Decision
Lee MinKoo (KTT) vs Kim JaeYoong (Extreme Combat)
Now we have two more technical fighters. Kim swarms Lee and gets the knockdown, and swarms him more as Lee protects him self by grabbing for a single. As he recovers, Lee goes on his on tirade of punches. Nice kick. They engage again and Kim lands two roundhouses that wobble Lee and then Lee returns the favor. In the clinch we get knees from Kim and trip attempts from Lee. Lee finds his mark and puts some nice straights in.
Round two, and they start off trading kicks. Lee 1-2’s Kim and smells blood! Kim saves himself and they reset. Ref stops it for… I don’t know. Lee is looking sharp now, boxing is definitely crisper and he’s got his hands up high. Then in an instant everything changes – his hands drop and Lee starts landing the combos. Kim has a second wind and Lee’s hands are hanging at his side. Kim changes it up with body kicks. A final minute left and Kim ends it with steady action.
Kim JaeYoong defeats Lee MinKoo by Unanimous Decision
Son SeongWon (Extreme Combat) vs Kim HanSeul (KTT)
Kim lands a left hook that drops Son to his knees right out of the corner. He recovers, they box, and Son lands a sharp one as well. Nice kick by Son. Son keeps coming in and Kim is looking for the counters, but he’s leaving himself too open. Kim catches a kick and clinches, they throw from inside then separate. Son lands a nice right hook. Kim needs to work his jab from southpaw but instead swings away with his lead hand to finish the round.
Into round two and Son lands a hook again, following up with an audible leg kick. Kim starts to put together a better defense. It spurs him to initiate, but Son ends up getting good counters in. Son starts scoring with kicks. At the ten second mark, Son wobbles Kim again.
Son SeongWon defeats Kim HanSeul by Unanimous Decision
Koo YoungNam (KTT) vs Kim KiYoung (Extreme Combat)
Kim scores first by tagging Koo with a straight punch. After some back and forth engagement, Koo knocks Kim down, but doesn’t follow up. And a left hook to the ear wobbles Kim again! Koo stalks, and then absolutely nails Kim with several in a row in the corner! Then separates and lets him live to the end of the round.
Kim has a more conservative game plan into the second and is mixing up his game a little more. Koo is still looking for the KO. Kim’s stumble sees Koo grab guard. He repeatedly tries to sit out and up but can’t. However, every time Kim tries to pound on him, Koo negates it. Koo kicks Kim off at the end of the round. Even with Koo’s dominant first round round, 2 out of 3 judges see Kim as the winner.
Kim KiYoung defeats Koo YoungNam by Split Decision
Kim JoonHo (Cube MMA) vs Lee DongYeong (Bucheon)
Kim charges and gets Lee into a corner. He scores repeated knees. Lee fakes kicks and Kim owns him, taking his back and throwing him down. Kim gets him up against the corner again. Ref separates and Lee seems to come alive, putting together more succinct combinations. Kim nails a single at the end of the round.
Round two and there’s no hesitancy from either. Kim has Lee in the corner of the five-rope ring again but he punches his way out this time. Lee starts landing hooks and Kim is stumbles, Lee follows up with a low kick. Hands are dropped, mouths are gaping. They still swing at each other and now it’s Lee with a takedown. He’s punching, ref restarts in the center of the ring. Lee makes it to mount and starts his ground and pound to the end of the round.
Lee DongYeong defeats Kim JoonHo by Decision
Park KyeongSu (Extreme Combat) vs Kim Ool (Team MAD)
Park has nice striking but Ool comes out with a high kick that stuns him and several more knees and kicks over and over. Straight right by Ool down the chute. Park lands a counter cross and starts to come back. Both start to tire, then Park comes alive and backs Ool against the ropes, working head and body.
Round two and Park is seining for the fences! He drops Ool but Ool gets back to his feet, so Park slams him! Park works for submissions but Ool defends. He’s obviously exhausted and Park is rag dolling him. Park has the back but the ref stands them up? They trade and Ool lands a head kick. Both guys have low hands and just about every shot is landing, no matter who throws. Park throws a hook that almost knocks Ool down.
Park KyeongSu defeats Kim Ool by Decision
Go MinSeong (JeonJu Gym) vs Choi SeungHeon (KTT)
Go slips during a td and Choi takes advantage of it by leaping on him, smacking him around then getting a quick kimura.
Choi SeungHeon defeats Go MinSeong by Submission, kimura, rd 1
Jang WonJoon (KTT) vs Jeong HanKook (Team MAD)
True to form, Team MAD’s Jeong waits for the takedown opportunity and gets mount. Jang doesn’t let him keep it there and gets out to reverse with his own single leg. In a scramble which Jeong has the back, he almost gets a crucifix. Back to standing. They start swinging! Jeong ducks a hook and lands his own, Jang is wobbled but comes right back. They start swinging again, and Jang tags Jeong! Swinging for the fences from both guys to the end of the first.
During the break, Coach Yang of Team MAD tells Jeong to stop the overhand rights and go for inside combos. Jeong listens and comes out with improved combos, then fails a shoot. Now Jang is the one throwing wild overhands. Jeong mixing it up with kicks, his nose is bloodied. Both guys purely fighting from adrenaline now, hands low and wild, Jeong adding kicks and knees in the mix. He’s dismayed when his opponent’s had is raise and so am I, but possibly Jang’s strikes did more damage in the eyes of the judges.
Jang WonJoon defeats Jeong HanKook by decision
Kim GyuSeon vs Park ChanSeong
Kim’s striking is his strength while Park goes for repeated single legs. In the sec on, Park’s mistake sees him caught in a triangle and Kim is able to show off some jiujitsu. At the end of the round, Park breaks out and throws combos at Kim.
