He’s competed all over the world and now TUF and WSOF veteran Jake Heun has found a home with RIZIN Fighting Federation in Japan.
Heun (12-9), a Muay Thai-based fighter, announced via social media has has signed a multi-fight deal with RIZIN.
Based in Thailand for the past several years, “The Honey Bear” was a regular with World Series of Fighting and a contender on The Ultimate Fighter 19.
Over his career he competed in different weight divisions, including openweight with ROAD FC in Korea and at heavyweight. At RIZIN 13 Heun made his RIZIN debut against Jiri Prochazka and returns to Kobe in Japan next month to face Deep champ Roque Martinez on the RIZIN 16 card.
“Japanese MMA has always held a special place in my heart,” Heun said via social media.
“From watching Wanderlai and Cro Cop take years off each other’s lives to Fedor just being an uncompromising force of violence and stoicism, to Don Frye and Takada having the single greatest exchange in the history of MMA.
“I am beyond happy to now be apart of that history. Time to make some fights the Japanese fans and fans of violence everywhere will never forget.”
