Former UFC star Sage Northcutt will make his ONE Championship debut in Singapore on 17 May against Brazilian kickboxer Cosmo Alexandre.
The 22-year-old signed with ONE Championship in January this year and is looking to make a big impact on the Singapore-based promotion.
Northcutt revealed the news during ONE’s first media tour of the US, which also saw Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson, Eddie Alvarez, Rich Franklin and Miesha Tate in attendance.
Speaking to fans and the media Northcutt said he was looking to compete under MMA, kickboxing and Muay Thai rules with ONE.
“I can definitely see myself being a champion in kickboxing, Muay Thai and mixed martial arts. I’m looking forward to it,” he said.
After twice competing in the ONE Super Series, Alexandre will be making his MMA debut with ONE. In April last year “Good Boy” scored a stunning second round TKO over Elliot Compton at ONE: Heroes of Honor in Manila.
Alexandre holds a 7-1 MMA record, having competed under Bellator, Legacy and Superstar Fight promotions.
