An unfortunate injury in training has waylaid Vuyisile Colossa’s next ONE FC appearance against Caros Fodor.
The Hong Kong-based Colossa was scheduled to face Fodor in a rematch at ONE FC 20 in Cambodia on 12 September, but sustained lateral collateral ligament, plica, and meniscus injuries during his training camp.
Colossa appeared at UFC FN 48 in Macau wearing a full leg brace and confirmed his injury to MMA-in-ASIA.
Colossa will need six to eight weeks of rest and rehab before he can resume training.
He previously announced his signing to UFC, but a contract dispute with ONE FC has put his career with the UFC on hold.
Colossa would not speculate on his future, given that the injury was recent.
