Rin Nakai returns with a win at Deep Jewels 24

Rin Nakai returned with form at Deep Jewels.

Women’s MMA veteran Rin Nakai made a successful debut at Deep Jewels 24 in Tokyo, defeating Kaewjai Prachumwong in the main event.

Nakai, a former Bantamweight Queen of Pancrase, sealed the deal at two minutes into the second round, setting up big combinations that eventually led to the stoppage.

Early in round two, Nakai tripped her Thai opponent and sent her crashing to the mat. She pounced and landed hammerfists until Prachumwong turtled up and the referee jumped in.

With the win, Nakai improves her record to 21-2-1, but says she still has room to improve.

“I’d rate my performance as three out of 10,” she said.
