Full Metal Dojo will be making a quick turnaround for FMD 18, with its second show of the year set for 30 November in Bangkok.
FMD 18: Bangkoxsploitation will see the long-running Thai MMA show return to Insanity Nightclub in Bangkok. FMD promoter Jon Nutt has confirmed the first matchup for FMD 18.
Kerr has not tasted success for quite some time. He last competed at Kunlun Fight 8 – five years ago – where he lost a decision in a kickboxing bout. Before that he bounced around the regional circuit taking fights with the likes of DARE and TUFFA in Australia where he won the middleweight championship.
For the past several weeks, FMD has been talking up the idea of a samurai sword – FMD’s equivalent of a world title – being handed out on 30 November. We know there’s one man in this fight who deserves it.
Since making the switch from amateur to pro MMA in 2016, Trujillo has gone on to build himself a formidable 5-1 record with FMD. His performances inside the Dojo have been nothing short of impressive.
At FMD 13, he scored one of the fastest knockouts in FMD history with a ferocious five-second TKO of Ryan Feltner, who hilariously charged towards Trujillo with his hands down only to eat a knuckle sandwich that sent him into the year 2030.
He heads into 30 November with two solid wins under his belt – the most recent being against Mostafa Ibrahim Radi at FMD 17.
Another rumour for FMD 18 includes heavyweight Hidetaka Arato, who returns after destroying Stan Tskitishvili with some brutal knees to the head at FMD 17.
If you haven’t gotten yourself along to an FMD show, you should be questioning your very existence. There’s still time for redemption and this one’s looking like the one to watch.
