The lineup for Invicta FC 35 has been finalised and there’s a few gems on the all-women, nine-fight card.
Invicta FC 35 will go down on Friday, 7 June (8 June in Asia) at the Memorial Hall in Kansas City. The event streams live on UFC Fight Pass.
At the top of the bill, the flyweight contender tournament will come to a close as UFC veteran DeAnna Bennett (10-4-1) rematches Mexico’s Karina Rodríguez (7-3).
Further down the card and two of Asia’s fast-rising female stars have been added to the lineup.
The talented Japanese submission specialist Kanako Murata (9-1) will maker her Invicta FC debut against fellow strawweight newcomer Liana Pirosin (7-2).
Murata will make a fast turnaround after defeating Saray Orozco at RIZIN 15 with an impressive second round von flue choke. Her recent run of wins has also included DEEP and Pancrase.
Murata’s only loss came at the hands of Rin Nakai at the 2016 RIZIN World Grand Prix.
Also set to return is Thailand hopeful Loma Lookboonmee, a former Muay Thai fighter who had a remarkably fast rise in MMA, winning her Invicta FC debut against Melissa Wang and backed it up with a second-round TKO win at Pancrase last August.
Loma went on to challenge fellow Thai Suwanan Boonsorn for the Full Metal Dojo atomweight sword last November, but was submitted early into the opening round.
She now welcomes Brazilian atomweight Monique Adriane (4-1) to the Invicta cage.
