MMA partnerships have been a hot topic this year, thanks to some big moves by ONE Championship.
Hong Kong-based JUST MMA is the latest to make a move in Japan, signing a deal with long-running Japanese promotion Grachan.
Andrew Chan, chairman of JUST MMA, said the wide-ranging deal would include talent sharing and may even result in events being held in their respective cities.
“We have been exploring this partnership for some months,” Chan told Asia MMA.
“Fighters from each organisation will have the opportunity to complete in Hong Kong and Japan.”
The news comes less than a week after JUST announced its first-ever signing, snapping up young Hong Kong prospect Andy Tang.
Launched in November 2017, JUST MMA has gone on to host several events in Macau, Hong Kong and Guangzhou.
Grachan 1 was held on Sunday, 4 December 2008 and this past weekend celebrated a milestone with its 40th event in Tokyo.
