ONE FC has announced the full card for their upcoming 7th event, to be held in Kuala Lumpur’s Putra Indoor Stadium – another gigantic venue for the promotion’s hefty Southeast Asia expansion.  Eric Kelly comes back into the cage after an impressive win over a larger opponent in front of his countrymen at the ten year anniversary event Dekada of ONE FC Network’s fellow promotion URCC.  He will face fellow Filipino Honario Banario for the Featherweight Championship, previously announced, which sees two of that country’s top athletes enter the cage to face each other for the first time. Between the two of them, only one fight has ever gone the distance.  The card is also stacked with the top local talent from Malaysia, four of whom will be competing for the first ONE FC National Title. This presumably opens up the discussion of national titles across the rest of Asia, and given the promotion’s intentions via the last event’s playbill – which featured a map of future events spanning not only SE Asia but India, Korea and China as well – this could be a huge step in uniting MMA across the entire region.

Another Filipino – URCC Pinweight champ Rey Docyogen – gets a huge shot at the Flyweight contender position against the Japanese MMA legend Shinichi “BJ” Kojima. South African Muay Thai standout Vuyisile Colossa is fresh off a run in ONE FC Network’s ROAD FC, returning to the cage to meet Lowen Tynanes who is only 2-0 but has made it count by an upset finish of Eduard Folayang at URCC DEKADA. Country versus country rivalry will be in full swing as Indonesia’s Leo Krishna takes on Malaysia’s Adam Kayoom.

Rounding out the Bantamweight Tournament is Thanh Wu verus Ryan Diaz. One the same event, another tournamnet takes place for the Malasyian National title with four standout Malaysians in the Featherweight division: AJ Mansour, Jian Kai Chee, Raymond Tiew, and Melvin Yeoh. Gianni Subba, who broke onto the MMA scene with a headkick finish, takes on Saiful Merican in a full on Malaysian flyweight bout. Opening the show will be a wrestling showdown as NCAA Jake Butler makes his MMA debut against Indonesia’s national wrestling champ Antoni Romulo.
