ONE’s live debut on US TV draws 264,000 viewers

The debut of ONE Championship on TNT topped 264,000 viewers.

Data from ONE Century, which marketed the promotion’s live debut on US television screens showed a respectable audience, given the lateness of the event.

The preliminaries as well as the second of two shows in the building, aired on the Turner Broadcasting streaming service, B/R Live.

Not surprisingly, the big draw for US audiences show was Demetrious Johnson’s flyweight Grand Prix win over Danny Kingad.

The other big draws included Christian Lee’s defeat over Saygid Guseyn Arslanaliev to win the lightweight Grand Prix, while Angela Lee retained her women’s atomweight title via fifth-round submission over Xiong Jing Nan.

ONE’s debut was one of two MMA shows on television Saturday.

Bellator 230, a taped show from Milan, did 202,000 viewers on Paramount, the lowest prime time rating for the promotion ever on the station.
