Pancrase has decided to give 30,000 yen as an allowance to the fighters who were scheduled to compete at main-card of Pancrase 313 and 314.
Both events were to scheduled for Studio Coast on 12 April. The COVID-19 outbreak forced the promotion to call off both events.
Pancrase CEO Masakazu Sakai said although it is a small amount: “We want to make an effort to protect the fighters. I don’t think it’s fighters-first to just seek to have events.”
Pancrase 313 was to be headlined by an interim lightweight title fight between Tatsuya Saika and Genpei Hayashi.
Pancrase 314 was set to be headlined by an interim strawweight title pitting Mitsuhisa Sunabe against Adam Antolin.
Pancrase 315 is the only show on the promotion’s calendar and is currently slated for 31 May.
