ROAD FC’s epic Lightweight Tournament comes to a close.

ROAD FC 53 will take place on Saturday 18 May on Jeju Island in South Korea.

Following a successful weigh-in event, the lightweight title fight between champion Kwon A-Sol and $1 Million Tournament winner Mansour Barnaoui will go ahead as the main event.

ROAD FC lightweight champion Kwon A-Sol (21-10) returns to face tournament winner Barnaoui (18-4). The last time we saw Kwon in the cage was December 2016. Barnaoui has fought five times in that period. But the champ was unfazed.

“Kwon A-Sol has returned. I will show you the real Kwon A-Sol tomorrow,” he said during the Friday weigh-ins.

Aorigele crushed the scales at 163.3kg.

China’s “Heavyweight Supernova” Aorigele got a late replaced opponent after Jerome Le Banner dropped out (again). His new opponent Heo Jae-Hyeok has gone 1-1 in the ROAD FC cage.

All 10 fighters made weight and the event is set to stream live on YouTube from 7pm local time.

Road FC 53 card includes:
