Korean bantamweight prospect Jin Soo Son will return to the UFC for his second outing on 21 July.
Jin (9-3) has been lined up to face Mario Bautista (6-1) at UFC San Antonio and will be looking to turn around a loss to Petr Yan in his UFC debut.
That loss however was nothing to sneeze at. Yan took Jin through a three-round slugfest that likely won the 25-year-old Korean a legion of new fans.
While the main event for UFC San Antonio remains unknown, officials have already confirmed a number of matchups.
Kiwi star Dan “The Hangman” Hooker makes his first appearance this year when he meets No.15-ranked lightweight James Vick.
Both fighters will be coming in on the back of losses, but a win should put either right back into contention with the top lightweights in the company.
Submission ace and No. 9-ranked contender Aleksei Oleinik (57-12-1) will take on dangerous Walt Harris (12-7), while hard-hitting strikers collide when Greg Hardy (4-1) makes a quick return to face Juan Adams (5-1).
Fan favorite Alex “Bruce Leroy” Caceres (14-12 1NC) returns after a tough loss to Kron Gracie
to meet Steven Peterson (17-8).
