Zombie fans will have to wait just a little longer for Chan Sung Jung’s return to the Octagon.
A recent shoulder strain will keep him from fighting Akira Corassani in Stokholm on 4 October.
Jung’s management confirmed the news to Asia MMA. The injury comes post-rehab for Zombie’s shoulder surgery which was necessitated by a freak dislocation that came during his 3 August match with UFC featherweight great Jose Aldo a year ago.
The injury is a strain to Jung’s shoulder which he received during his training camp for Corassani and it is the same shoulder that was operated upon.
No structural damage has been done. Jung will need at least four weeks of rehab and then a doctor’s decision to resume training.
