Two welterweight sluggers have been added to the UFC’s debut in Shenzhen.
MMA Fighting reports Chinese welterweight Li Jingliang (16-5) will face Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos (21-5) when the UFC arrives in the Southern Chinese city on 31 August.
The matchup was originally slated for UFC Beijing last November, but Zaleski withdrew with an injury.
“The Leech” is 8-3 inside the Octagon, collecting four post-fight bonus checks along the way. He was due to face Alex Oliveira earlier this year, but the fight was cancelled after Li suffered an injury.
His only in the last few years has come at the hands of Jake Matthews at UFC 222.
Zaleski (21-5) has remained undefeated since 2015, racking up a seven-fight win streak most recently against Curtis Millender at UFC Wichita in March.
UFC Fight Night 157 will take place in Shenzhen on August 31. In the night’s main event, rising strawweight contender Zhang Weili will challenge Jessica Andrade for the UFC’s women’s strawweight title.
Announced earlier this week was a women’s flyweight match between Wu Yanan and Luana Carolina.
