Pancrase has announced a multi fight contract has been signed with Marlon Sandro.
Sandro’s first event should be on April 26, 2015 against a yet-to-be-named opponent.
“The Gladiator” is well-known especially in Japan where he’s competed extensively and successfully. Sandro began his career in Shooto Brazil then became the second Featherweight King of Pancrase in 2008. He then gained the Sengoku Featherweight Championship title, and launched his international career in Bellator.
Sandro came back to Pancrase for their 20th Anniversary event in 2013 and ended up with a draw in a crazy scramble with Yojiro Uchimura. He hinted at what might lie ahead of him on the Japanese front at that time.
Pancrase also recently announced an archive licensing deal has been made with Zuffa to air content on UFC’s Fight Pass.
