ROAD FC 18: Ham Seo-Hee vs Alyona Rassohyna

ROAD FC 18 will take place on August 30, 2014 in Seoul, South Korea. DEEP Jewels Champ Ham Seo-Hee takes another fight at home against Ukranian prospect Alyona Rassohyna.

ROAD FC 18 follows 17 by a scant 2 weeks because of the Asian Games which will take place in Korea in September.

Ham is on a tear since her recovery from her last loss which was back in 2011. She won the Jewels title from Naho Sugiyama and defended it against Sadae Numata before taking her very first fight in her home of Korea at Road FC – Korea 3 against young sensation Shino Vanhoose. It was a fight that virtually no one pegged Vanhoose to stay in for any amount of time, but she went the distance against the more aggressive Ham, who adapted well and gave all kindsĀ of punishment.

Rassohyna is a remarkable grappler from Ukraine’s hotbed of heavies, Oplot Team. Her training partners are giants with submission wins in the twenties. She herself counts her last six in a row of finishing arm locks, and is no stranger to tough opponents, as her last one was a top ten ranker at a division above, Katja Kankaanpaa. Rassohyna will be making her first trip to Asia for this fight.

Ham is the DEEP Jewels Lightweight Champion. She has a record of 13 wins and 5 losses, and she has a winning streak of four in a row. Ham trains alongside ROAD FC Flyweight Champion Jo Nam-Jin and former ROAD FC Bantamweight Champion Kang Kyung-Ho at Team MAD in Busan.
