ROAD FC Official Gym opens

ROAD Fighting Championship of South Korea is evolving and has opened the ROAD FC Official Gym.  Further business expansion will also include a management company and an online shop.

The ROAD FC Official Gym opened on November 23, 2013. Located in the heart of upscale Gangnam in Seoul, South Korea, the gym boasts the largest square footage and most facilities of any gym of its kind in Korea. Almost 500 square meters of floor space is occupied by two matted areas designed for MMA and CrossFit, and a cage that is almost equal in dimension to the ROAD FC event cage. The gym offers courses not only in MMA, but in kickboxing, wrestling, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, CrossFit, and yoga.

In addition to the flagship ROAD FC Official Gym in Gangnam, ROAD FC will open two additional gyms within two years at Hongik University Station and Nonhyeon-Dong.

In organizing and opening the ROAD FC Official Gym, one of the country’s top Mixed Martial Artists, Seo DooWon, was picked as Head Coach. He is an active MMA fighter for ROAD FC, and was a member of the National Wrestling Team. Bin YoonHyung, Lee SeungYun and others will also be coaching in their respective specialty areas. All ROAD FC fighters can train freely at the new gym. At future ROAD FC events in Seoul, and when professional fighters come to Korea from abroad, the gym will serve as a home-base for training.
