TOP FC 6: Unbreakable Dream on April 5, 2015 at Seoul Olympic Park Hall sees four fighters vying for the inaugural Lightweight title.

Also, a key featherweight match between Han Seong-Hwa and Kim Dong-Gyu has been scratched.

Initially, the Lightweight Grand Prix started off with Kim Dong-Hyun, Kang Jung-Min, Hwang Gyo-Pyung, and Frank Camacho all lined up to battle each other for the first ever Lightweight title. However, one of the contenders is gone from the race.  Frank “The Crank” Camacho has retired from the sport of MMA. On his Facebook page, he stated,

“It’s been a long 12 years of fighting and after my last loss, I’ve been questioning my career and how long I want to do this. THIS DOESN’T MEAN I STOP MARTIAL ARTS. I will continue training and helping others on the way and planning on opening up a school to help our youth.” Camacho finishes his career at 15-3 with 11 victories via TKO/KO.”

This obviously left a spot open, therefore, Toshikatsu Harada has decided to step in to face Kim Dong-Hyun. “Toshi” will be the most experienced competitor in the tournament and is currently riding a two-fight win streak. He has competed against the likes of Duane “Bang” Ludwig and Shinya Aoki so he is no stranger to the spotlight.

Even though he is stepping up on short notice, this is an opportunity of a lifetime for the Japanese journeyman.

The first fight of the Grand Prix will put MosGym representative Kang Jung-Min (6-5-2) against KTT’s Hwang Gyo-Pyung (7-3). Then, in the co-main event, Team MAD product Kim Dong-Hyun (11-6-3) will face Mach Dojo’s Yoshikatsu Harada (13-12-2). The winners of these matches will move up to throw down for the lightweight strap at a TOP FC event later this year.

Unfortunately, according to TOP FC president Ha Dongjin, the highly-anticipated contest in the featherweight division that would have most likely determined the next challenger for the Champion, Choi Yeong-Gwang, has been cancelled. Kim “Big Mouse” Dong-Gyu (4-1) and Han “The Dynamic Monkey” Seong-Hwa (7-5) were supposed to collide on the main card, but due to an injury to Han’s hand, this is no longer possible.
