Mark Eddiva will have his third fight in the Octagon when he takes on Alex White at UFC Fight Night Manila on May 16, 2015.

The match was first announced in regional media and subsequently confirmed by

Filipino Eddiva hails from the country’s powerhouse Team Lakay, and along with his MMA pedigree he is an Southeast Asian gold medalist and Asian Games bronze medalist in Wushu. His entrance into the UFC took place at UFC Macau in March of 2014 where he outworked China’s standout prospect Jumabieke Tuerxun.

Eddiva was quick to be put back into action against Kevin Souza in UFC Fight Night Brazil last May. While Eddiva did not go home with the win, he did take a $50,000 Fight of the Night bonus because of his incredible performance going toe to toe with Souza.

White is also coming off a loss into this fight. He won his UFC debut against Estevan Payan but lost back-to-back matches with Lucas Martins and Clay Collard. White started his MMA career reeling of submissions, but lately has grown some heavy hands. It should be a very fun match for the Philippines crowd.

In the main event, UFC number one ranked featherweight Frankie Edgar will face Urijah Faber, the number 3 in the UFC’s bantamweight division. The Super Fight will take place in the featherweight division and will be a five-round contest.

The card will be aired live on FOX Sports 1.
