On December 14, 2013, some of the brightest prospects in the region collide inside the ring as Team Lakay Championship 8 rocks the Baguio Convention Center, in Baguio City, Philippines.

The show will once again give a glance at who are the fighters to watch: who will be making an impact on the local and international MMA scene in the coming years. Team Lakay Championship has already produced young, hungry, and very exciting fighters such as Geje “Gravity” Eustaquio, who impressed a lot of fans with his Unanimous Decision victory at ONE FC “Moment of Truth” against Eugene Toquero, Harold and Dario Banario, who are currently on a tear in the PXC Bantamweight division, and the former Bantamweight champ of the PXC Crisanto “The Slugger” Pitpitunge.

TLC 8 features eight MMA fights and three Sanda bouts. Headlining the card is a flyweight scrap between hometown hero Jerome “Torogi” Wanawan and the pride of Reamico, Biagtan Gym, Cavite, Dindo Camansa. Wanawan badly needs to win this one as he is coming off a two-fight losing skid. He’ll be facing one of the most promising pupils of Master Reysaldo Biagtan in Camansa. Camansa is a fighter who is very explosive and athletic. He comes from a Muay Thai background – expect a deadly striking game from this kid. Camansa is working his butt off everyday in the gym to build up his ground game. He’ll look to keep Wanawan on the drawing board as he aims for a spectacular finish against the highly-talented Team Lakay fighter.

In the co-main event of the night, undefeated prospect Tristan “Grim Reaper” Rebuyaco takes on another exciting Biagtan Muay Thai fighter, Jun “Uragon” Gallano. Rebuyaco is known for being a complete fighter who can dominate both in the stand up and grappling departments. With an impressive record of 4-0, Rebuyaco will try to keep his unblemished record intact when he meets the energetic Gallano, a fighter who never fails to entertain. Like other fighters from Biagtan Muay Thai, Gallano possess a high-level striking game and a granite chin. He will be tested once more as he takes on Rebuyaco.

TLC 8 will also feature a very interesting flyweight match-up between Delfin Nawen and Jhonny Bitaga. Nawen and Bitaga both have punching power and durable cardio. Nawen is looking to compensate for his recent loss against Donglay, while Bitaga is aiming to score his first-ever MMA win on Saturday at TLC 8.
