ONE FC has added several names to its roster recently, including stand out MMA fighters Mark Striegl and Kuat Khamitov, plus BJJ professors Marcos Ratinho Santana and Christian Uflacker.

Mark Striegl is perhaps one of the most well-known Asia-based journeymen, having gone undefeated through several promotions right up to a title shot in PXC. His creative and quick style as well as good looks and self-marketing are the complete package.

After a disappointing title challenge, Striegl went back to the drawing board to reevaluate his career. It resulted in a spectacular comeback first round submission over Kai Kara-France as the MIMMA 2 main event and a new opportunity as part of the Evolve Fight Team in Singapore.

Kuat Khamitov is an exciting addition from the Kazakhstan circuit whose performances finally landed him in the sites of Matt Hume. Kuat’s had a huge run in his home country’s Alash Pride culminating in the Lightweight title, defeated every opponent in RUFF including Chinese warhorse Wu Haotian, and lost a close split decision to UFC fighter Zubair Tuhugov. It will be very interesting to see how he performs in a deeper pool of talent.

Marcos Ratinho followed long time friend Herbert Burns to Evolve MMA recently, before which he was coaching Brazilian jiu jitsu in the United Arab Emirates to the Presidential Guard, and in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah to members of the royal family. Ratinho is a black belt under Fabricio Medeiros and Ricardo Vieira from Checkmat with a long list of championships under his belt. He will be making his MMA debut with ONE FC.

Christian Uflacker is a Brazilian jiu jitsu black belt under Carlos Gracie Jr and established Uflacker Academy in Chicago, Illinois where ONE FC stand out Yusup Saadulaev trains. Uflacker has only five MMA bouts under his belt, but two of them were in Strikeforce and Bellator, and all of them ended with his hand raised.

Along with these four fighters, Riku Shibuya, Dae-Ryeong Kim, Jordan Lucas, and Rajinder Singh Meena have also recently been signed and/or announced in upcoming matches.

ONE FC has also changed its name to ONE Championship. It’s going to take a while before that one settles in around here.
